BEAUTY SUPPLIERS GET SMART WITH NEW PACKAGING INNOVATIONS
The article highlights mPackting groundbreaking approach to sustainable packaging. One of the key features of the Silva range is the integration of the Tango lipstick case, created in collaboration with Italian glassmaker Bormioli Luigi. The Tango lipstick packaging combines an FSC-certified wooden base with a glass cap, offering customization in finish, color, and functionality. The product also includes a bioplastic central ring with a removable clicking mechanism. The design is not only visually appealing but also designed for durability and recyclability, with no glue used in the assembly, making it fully separable for recycling.
In addition to the Tango case, mPackting’s collaboration with Bormioli Luigi extends to the Stella McCartney skincare range, where the company provides recyclable and refillable packaging solutions for the Reset Cleanser, After-Care Serum, and Restore Cream. These products feature recyclable pouches and caps and offer infinite reuse potential for their pump, bottle, and jars. Bormioli Luigi is committed to increasing its eco-designs, aiming for packaging with up to 40% recycled glass content by 2023.
Minelli’s mPackting collection also includes packaging for mascara and lipstick, developed in partnership with Albéa, with products set to be released later in 2023. Minelli's focus on sustainable and refillable packaging marks a significant step toward reducing the beauty industry's environmental footprint.
