mPackting & Bormioli Luigi play in perfect harmony to create Tango, a luxurious glass and wood lipstick

mPackting has collaborated with Italian luxury glass maker Bormioli Luigi to create a premium lipstick with a focus on sustainability and circularity. The packaging is made with a combination of durable and  luxurious materials:

  • Cap in glass

  • Base in Wood

  • Ring in biocomposite (100% biobased and biodegradable)

Luxurious eco-design

Robust, aesthetic and functional, it offers a very long lifespan. Indeed, the packaging is refillable and separable for recyclability, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly choice for customers who want to reduce their environmental impact. Since glass and wood are both durable and sensorial materials we wanted to create an object worth keeping, and not just another wastable packaging. We believe that sustainable and refillable beauty should still be attractive.

All components are separable at the end of life. There is no glue. The materials are certified (FSC for wood for example). This premium lipstick is designed and made (manufactured) entirely in Italy using local suppliers.

“The vision behind this innovation was to create a luxurious yet sustainable packaging in terms of resources and end-of-life options. Indeed this pack is made of durable materials by local suppliers and it is fully refillable and recyclable “ comments Paolo Minelli, Director of mPackting.

Customisable sustainability

The glass conveys a message of elegance and luxury, while the wood adds a touch of uniqueness to each lipstick. The bioplastic is eco-friendly and does not leave any microplastics behind.

In addition to its sustainable features, this lipstick packaging is also designed to be visually striking and elegant. The combination of glass, wood, and bioplastic creates a unique and luxurious aesthetic that is sure to attract attention and make a statement.

Offered in full service, it is fully customizable by choosing the wood (beech, ash, maple, etc.) and the finish (natural varnish, lacquering, colour effect, metallization, standard or custom colours, etc.).

For functional reasons, the central ring is made of bioplastic (or mBlack™) and the removable mechanism operates in one click.

Come and meet us in Paris, on January 25th and 26th, 2023.

mPackting will attend the Paris Packaging Week, at the PCD section, right next to the Champagne bar (stand N173). So remember to stop by!
